The Cupatron
    
 
The Cupatron works when you press a code on some touch sensors. After you press in the code the touch sensors activate the two motors that turn and carry the cups out. The two motors turn very slowly so that the cups don't go flying out. After the cup slowly comes out a lid turns so that a cup can come out through a hole in a box. As the lid is opening a hacker turns and slices the side of the cup to push it out of the open hole

The Cupatron addresses several environmental problems. Carbon dioxide is polluting the atmosphere when industries make plastic and burn their byproducts. Another problem is that the carbon dioxide traps heat, and when heat is trapped it can cause global warming. Also, another problem is that over time a chemical called BPA seeps into your water. BPA is harmful to animals and can damage your body. BPA can also harm wild animals that drink from a stream containing the chemical. BPA is also related to breast cancer.
  
             
 
The Brush Destroyer
    
 
The Brush Destroyer works using a remote control. There are three NXT motors. One button controls the tires to go forward and backwards. Then there are two other motors that have claws to cut the brush and the weeds so that the trees can breathe, and not die. There are four wheels, two in the back and two in the front to keep the robot balanced and make it higher so it won't hit the ground. We made a controller so that we can make the robot go straight, backwards, and to also activate the blades.

Brush can be a problem because it doesn't let the trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. Without carbon dioxide, trees can die. Animals that live in the trees can lose their basic needs such as habitats, shelter, food, and water. Sometimes people burn brush but the fire becomes a wild fire. We need a btter way to cut away weeds and brush without hurting the environment.
  
             
 
The Garbage Grabber
    
 
The Garbage Grabber helps pick up trash. It uses two touch sensors to activate its claws and travel three different directions. The blue touch sensor opens and closes the claws, and the red touch sensor allows the robot to move forward. When it is pressed again, the robot will turn left and when pressed a third time, the robot will turn right. When you release the button on the blue touch sensor, the claws will close. We looped this program so it would repeat forever or until the program is stopped. Our product helps physically challenged people by allowing them to not bend over and pick up trash which might increase the amount of pollution picked up.

Did you know that almost 33% of roadside litter consists of cigarette butts? 29% consists of fast food wrappers and candy wrappers. 11% consists of cans, bottles, straws and cup lids. This is because people litter materials that should be properly disposed in a trash can or recycling bin. It is a shame that so many materials are littered each year. In fact it does not only hurt the environment, but it can harm animals and lead to many pollution problems. If we continue to litter with materials such as cigarette butts and other plastic waste, we will soon see many problems occur on the planet. Cigarette butts are composed of a type of plastic that can remain in the environment for 10 to 12 years. Plus, toxic chemicals can leak out of the cigarette and flow into our waterways. Litter in bodies of water that contain polystyrene are harmful to animals if eaten. They could die due to toxicity, which would decrease their population in the environment.  

  
             
 
The Manure Burier
        
 
The purpose of the Manure Burier is to help the nitrogen cycle. The robot goes over to the cow manure, and then it smases it with its hammer so that the shovel on the robot can cover the manure with soil easily.

Manure is staying on the land longer than needed. If it is pressed into the ground faster, the manure would decompose faster, further increasing the speed of teh nitrogen cycle. Inside the manure is all the stuff the cow ate and drank such as water and grass. When food and water move down to the digestive system of the cow, they mix all together and become cow manure.
  
 
       
 
The Pollution Pickup
        
 
The Pollution Pickup has a propeller on each side so it can move around in the river, lake, or stream. There is a net in the front to catch the trash floating in the water when the robot is moving. A remote control is used to make the robot turn left, right, or move forward.

Did you know that more than 13000 oil spills occur each year in the United States? There are two types of water pollution: Non-conventional and Conventional. Many of people throw their trash in water and when they do it hurts our environment in so many ways. When people throw their solids in a lake the solid suspend in the water and they block sun rays and this blocking disrupts the carbon dioxide/oxygen conversion process. Sometimes solid pollution is so bad the water becomes not viable for human and animal use.To cleanup today people pickup trash and recycle and that stuff. But one thing most people don’t do is cleanup the water. The trash in the water can kill animals by choking them or putting something bad it there body. Some people think picking up trash doesn’t matter but it does you can kill animals and cause pollution to make the earth not as nice of a place. 

 
 

 

        
 
The Green Transporter
        
 

Recycling means separating products into different groups to be remade into new products. The Green Transporter does this, and it takes less time than walking to a certain place to recycle.

  • Pick the program in the NXT that you need. There are 4 different programs: Aluminum, Paper, Plastic, and Compost.
  • Dump the materials you are trying to recycle into the transporter box on the robot.
  • Click run on the NXT and the robot will use a light sensor to follow a colored tape.
  • Once the robot reaches the destination point, claws lift the transporter box up and dump the materials into the collection box at the destination point.
  • The claws then return the transporter box back to the robot and depart to arrive at the start.

We are trying to encourage recycling and help the world get started saving the Earth. Making new things from recycled ones takes less money, less energy, and less of the Earth’s resources. Because less energy is used, factories don’t release as much pollution into the air. If the air is filled with pollution, it will be contaminated, and it will be harder to breathe.  Everyone can recycle and our green transporter will help the process go faster.

  • It keeps valuable material such as aluminum and paper out of landfills, so this material can be reused in other forms and not wasted.
  • Itprevents hazardous materialsand chemicals such as lead and mercury from ending up in landfills, which can contaminate soil and leach into our drinking water.

If we do not recycle, some of 8.6 million tons of paper would cover half of Texas. In landfills we would lose 11 million tons of co2. That is the same as taking around 3.6 million cars off the road for a year.

  The Trailer Pull takes those heavy bails of hay into town to sell. The Nannybot circles the wagon or homestead When motion is detected it will sound an alarm scaring potential predators or enemies away. The Heavy Lifter is a crane that helps pioneers lift heavy objects such as lumber to build homes.
