Objective: Program a car to travel into the car wash and stop once inside. A light sensor must be used to stop the car.
Result: Each group measured the light value of the hallway and the inside of the box. Students programmed their cars to stop once the light sensor sensed a light value less than the value of the inside of the box. Making the cars travel straight through the opening of the box presented an additional challenge. Some cars had to be modified because they were too wide.
